Apple has been making massive strides in terms of performance and their latest device is no exception in fact it's an example of the craziness that apple has been cooking up I'm going to be reviewing the m2 macbook air the base model that is so let's begin so let's go ahead and talk about the hardware on this laptop it's comprised of an aluminum unibody design that feels Incredible.
I enjoy it because of how easy it is to use though the arrow keys are terrible on this laptop considering how small they are now the trackpad on the other hand is as good as ever it's the perfect size and it is a glass trackpad-like we are used to seeing it feels great and executing gestures on it is great too as it's really smooth this trackpad has the haptic feedback feature so it's not technically a clickable trackpad and it's only active when this laptop is on.
This keyboard and trackpad combination is close to
perfect so I have no complaints here this device features a 13.6-inch display
running at an aspect ratio of 16 by 10 which is ideal for productivity it's a
really beautiful display and I'm so glad that we've gotten upgrades on that
since the air used to have a horrible screen but this Display is ideal for
getting work done whether it's for photo editing video editing any kind of
color accurate work will be handled beautifully by this display.
It also gets really bright so it's definitely usable outdoors if you need it to be this is one of the best displays on any laptop so far now when it comes to specs this device features the apple m2 chip which is an 8-core CPU and GPU combo 8 gigabytes of ram and 256 gigabytes of ssd storage I do wish that this model came with 16 gigs of ram but this will be enough for our own workloads here so performance with this device is nothing short of incredible so let's say that you're a student or somebody that needs to do a lot of multitasking and you need a machine that isn't going to lag behind when you need it the most this machine has you covered it can handle tasks like that very easily and with plenty of room to spare.
I haven't found myself needing the extra 8 gigabytes of ram at all that I talked about but for these tasks, this amount is actually perfect it's a very strong performer without a doubt it can even handle photo editing and video editing very well so I am satisfied with this machine overall so when it comes to the battery life this device features around 11 hours of battery life for my own testing this battery life is incredible and I would strongly recommend it to those who don't like commuting with a charger.
