What to expect from the AirPods Pro 2: A Comprehensive Guide

If you're looking for a high-quality pair of wireless earbuds that provide an excellent fit and sound quality, the AirPods Pro 2 might be just what you need. After using them for two months, I have to say that I'm thoroughly impressed with their sound quality and battery life. In this article, I'll be sharing some tips and tricks that I've found to help you get the most out of these wireless earbuds.

For people with smaller ears like myself, the AirPods Pro 2 are a significant improvement over the first generation. While the physical design hasn't changed, there is now an extra small ear tip size. This small difference has been a game-changer for me in terms of getting these to fit really well. I can wear them all day, even when I'm working out, without needing to reposition them constantly. On the first generation, I would always need to use third-party foam tips, which cost extra money on top of the earbuds themselves. Now, I don't have to worry about that extra cost.

Upgrading Your First-Generation AirPods Pro If you have the first-generation AirPods Pro and you have small ears, you don't necessarily have to spend a lot of money to get a better fit. The good news is that the extra-small second-generation tips fit the first-generation as well. They cost only eight dollars from Apple directly for two sets.

AirPods users, including myself, have been asking for volume controls on the stem, and Apple has delivered with the second generation. But, I have found that precise finger placement is key, and it's taken me a little bit more time to get used to this than I would have liked. Even after two months, I still don't get it right all the time, and I accidentally end up going through the stem itself rather than where I should be swiping on, which is the force sensor.

No earbud review is complete without talking about sound quality. Compared to the first generation, the AirPods Pro 2 has filled in the picture. If you're coming to them for the first time without having dipped into the Apple earbud system before, they are the best sounding and most rounded of all the options available. For me, the sound profile has more emphasis on the bass than any other Apple earbud that I've tested, but it's balanced in such a way that I don't need to constantly crank the volume to also hear that definition in the mids and trebles like I do on some other wireless earbuds.

The AirPods Pro 2 are an excellent choice if you're in the market for wireless earbuds. With a better fit, improved sound quality, and longer battery life, they provide an all-around excellent experience. While they aren't perfect, they come pretty darn close, and I highly recommend them. If you're on the fence about upgrading from the first generation, the AirPods Pro 2 are definitely worth considering.
